James Cox is the associate director of state regulation and legislation at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In this role, he focuses on the licensing and regulation of the CPA profession in the United States and state-level stakeholders on other policy issues. He has over 20 years of strategic government relations experience and received his Bachelor's degree in history and political science from Florida State University and a Master's of Jurisprudence with a focus on regulatory compliance from Seton Hall Law School.
