CASSANDRA SUMNER, CPA, CFE Cassandra Sumner is the Unit Chief of the FBI Forensic Accountant Unit headquartered in Washington, DC. She leads and oversees forensic accountant operations across all FBI field offices and Headquarters. Ms. Sumner has over 19 years of forensic accounting, auditing, and corporate financial analysis experience. Ms. Sumner started her career with the FBI in 2012 in Chicago. As a Forensic Accountant and Supervisory Forensic Accountant, Ms. Sumner performed and supervised expert financial analysis that led to hundreds of successful criminal guilty pleas and convictions. Ms. Sumner has testified in several federal criminal trials, presenting significant financial summaries of evidence. Ms. Sumner earned her Bachelor's of Science in accounting from Indiana University-Bloomington and her Master's in Accounting with a Concentration in Forensic Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
