David is a Fraud Subject Matter Expert with over twenty years of experience serving the legal and financial services communities with both consulting and expert witness services. David's background includes Accounting, Auditing, Finance and Project Management experience dealing with diverse industries. He has an extensive background in Accounting Policies and Procedures and Financial Reporting with an emphasis on investigating financial statement misrepresentations, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and their impact on operational efficiencies. David is responsible for providing law firm clients with litigation consulting services including conducting investigations, performing analyses and calculating economic damages, providing expert witness testimony and performing due diligence reviews. In addition, David has managed large litigation consulting engagements, assessing controls and evaluating documents produced during the discovery process. Prior to starting RSZ Forensic Associates , David spent four years at a risk management advisory firm as Associate Director of their Fraud Risk Management practice and over thirteen years with global public accounting firms focusing on litigation and forensic services. David has served as a Business Integrity Monitor for the New York City Department of Investigation, ensuring contract compliance in the construction industry and has assisted the United States Attorneys Office in several cases, overseeing the recovery of millions of dollars for restitution to fraud victims. David is a current member of the AICPA's Anti-Fraud Task Force and CFF Credentialing Committee, and a frequent speaker at professional conferences and in corporate training events around the world. He is a CPA/CFF, Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Certified Board Advisor. He is a past Chairman of the NYSSCPA's Litigation Services Committee, Chair of the Audit Committee of the Sebago Canoe and Kayak Club and Treasurer and member of the Board of Trustees of the EPIC Theatre Ensemble in New York City.
