Wondering when the “audit of the future” that we’ve all heard so much about over the years will become a reality? According to firm leaders across the country, it’s already happening. While many of these firms used to approach an audit by using the previous year’s audit files as a template, they’re now coming at it from a completely different perspective. They’re fully re-engineering the audit to meet higher client and regulatory standards while achieving new levels of efficiency and delivering a lot more value along the way. Join this discussion to learn about the four key drivers of audit transformation – technology, methodology, standards and skills – and how firms are managing this change within their organizations.

The adoption of AI in accounting came slowly then all at once, as they say. It is no longer a matter of if, but how quickly firms and their clients embrace the technology as a tsunami of AI enabled tools and use cases envelopes the profession. Consequently, the roles and expectations of CPA’s are shifting. As quickly as some functions are made obsolete, new opportunities are being born. How AI is used will be a key differentiator among tech-enabled firms, and a competitive advantage over those that do not. While accelerating the adoption of AI will be necessary to stay competitive it still requires considered and careful planning as the risks and challenges are becoming more apparent. Building an AI adoption roadmap that is both aligned to your firm’s strategy and also recognizes risks of data privacy, bias, accuracy, lack of regulation and even hallucinations is now necessary. As AI increasingly becomes our teams’ digital colleagues it will be important to find out how to balance AI with human intelligence, craft job descriptions for your new digital employees and establish their competencies, acceptable behaviors and an expectation of a biased-free performance.

Customers don’t buy time; they buy value. Firms with a better understanding of value will have an enormous competitive advantage in attracting both customers and top talent.

Price is the marketing moment of truth. It’s the number one driver of profitability, more so than cutting costs, increasing efficiency, or even customer acquisition. This session is designed to help firms price on purpose, developing a core competency in this essential skill. Pricing is an art, not a science. But it’s also a skill, meaning the more you do it, the better you will get. As a result, your culture will become obsessed with value, not time spent.
