Accounting Policy Manager, Federal Reserve Board of Governors

Matt is a Senior Accounting Policy Analyst for the Federal Reserve Board's Division of Banking Supervision and Regulation. Matt’s responsibilities include monitoring and formulating positions on domestic and international proposals, standards, and other developments affecting the banking industry in the areas of accounting, internal controls, disclosure, and supervisory financial reporting. Matt is the Federal Reserve Board representative on the Basel Committee’s Working Group on Disclosure that is revising the Pillar 3 disclosure requirements. Matt also provides technical expertise to Federal Reserve Board and Federal Reserve Bank associates on financial accounting and reporting issues and facilitates awareness of existing, new, and proposed accounting and auditing standards.

Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Board, Matt worked at a large financial services company where he was responsible for financial analysis of their investment portfolio. Matt’s other experience includes internal audit at two financial services companies, implementing Sarbanes-Oxley at a regional financial institution and managing the external financial reporting for several large mutual fund complexes. Matt also has public accounting experience from KPMG, LLP, where he focused on auditing financial services companies.

Matt is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
