Laura Guzman

Laura Guzman, CPA, M.S.T, is a Tax Partner at RSM's Dallas/Ft. Worth office. She has over twenty years of experience. In her role, Laura specializes in providing tax advisory, planning and compliance services for Real Estate Investment Trusts, partnerships, private equity funds and related companies. She has considerable knowledge with both REIT and partnership issues, including tiered partnerships, income and loss allocations, tracking tax basis, reporting issues associated with reportable transactions, and multi-state tax compliance, including unitary, combined, separate company reporting, non-resident withholding and composites. Laura has experience reviewing foreign filings for 5471s, 8858's and 8865s. Laura has experience in the REIT planning and compliance area, focusing on industrial, retail, and office REITs. Laura has dealt extensively with transaction modelling, corporate distributions, 311(b) gains, 1374 issues and complex 704(c) allocations.
