Catharine Fortney has been working in healthcare compliance and audit for over 12 years and is a Certified Healthcare Compliance professional (CHC) with extensive experience in building, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing compliance and internal audit programs at a variety of healthcare organizations. She is an expert in assessing compliance and internal control risks and prioritizing where organizations should focus their resources to address the highest risk matters. Ms. Fortney has an undergraduate degree from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business and a Master’s in Science in Health Administration from the University of Colorado. Her current role is Chief Compliance and Audit Officer with oversight of Enterprise Compliance Services which houses the compliance and internal audit functions for Denver Health and Hospital Authority in Denver, Colorado. Denver Health and Hospital Authority is Colorado's primary safety net hospital and serves the city and county of Denver with a large network of locations and services.
