This session will review tax and investment issues affecting Roth IRAs, including funding, conversions and distributions, as well as costs and benefits of alternative investments, valuation rules, PT rules, ROBs and UBIT. Attendees will understand:
• The Roth IRA rules for funding, conversions from traditional to Roth, rollovers from qualified plans and distributions
• The costs and benefits of alternative investments and the IRA valuation rules
• The prohibited transaction rules, including ROBs, and unrelated business income tax
