This session will address the following areas: Preparedness - identifying challenges ethnic minorities face in the profession. Performance - developing solutions and innovative practices that address the challenges. Potential - Maximizing opportunities of having a more diverse and inclusive profession.

Thursday
In this session, participants will hear the results of the CAQ Market Research Findings that aimed to better understand the student mindset and motivations and priorities for college and their career. Other goals of the research was to learn how best to reach students and better understand their perceptions of accounting profession along with what messages resonate and align with their career priorities. In addition, leaders from the ALPFA, Ascend, and NABA will share their thoughts and perspectives on the data and how it aligns with the various communities their organizations represent.

Thursday
In this session among ASLW alumni, panelists will provide insights into their personal journeys, discuss their experiences in the ASLW program and how it prepared them for the workforce, and share some of their early experiences as professionals. Panelists will also discuss their experiences with preparing for the CPA exam and/or other professional designations. They will also share what they see on the horizon for future graduates and their views on the essential knowledge and skills required of young professionals.
