Sebastian Gomez is an Associate Director over the Disclosure Review Program in the Division of Corporation Finance of the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Division of Corporation Finance seeks to ensure that investors are provided with information needed to make informed investment and voting decisions, including when a company initially offers its securities to the public and on an ongoing basis. Previously, Mr. Gomez held a variety of positions in the Division of Corporation Finance, was Deputy Director of the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation, and served as a Senior Advisor to Chairman Jay Clayton. Before joining the SEC, Mr. Gomez practiced securities law in the Washington DC office of Hogan Lovells. He received his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.S. in computer science from Bridgewater College.
