Lewis services clients in the Nonprofit and Govcon business areas with specialties in USG contracts and grants management, compliance and financial management. Lewis has experience with government contracts and grants including helping clients comply with the requirements 2 CFR 200, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

Specifically, Lewis has experience assessing current cost structures, pools and models and working with senior management to develop strategies and tools that can maximize their cost recovery while also remaining competitive. Lewis has assisted his clients with Incurred Cost Proposals (ICPs) and Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Proposals (NICRAs) for current and prior years. The scope of these engagement include preparing the appropriate calculations and schedules and/or assessing them for compliance with 2 CFR 200, modified or full CAS-coverage environments.

Lewis has also provided consultations to management teams on a comprehensive range of operational areas including advising on regulatory interpretations and compliance, streamlining existing financial and operational processes and ensuring adequate internal controls. Specific issues where Lewis has assisted organizations are in matters related to procurement, sub-recipient monitoring and management, budgeting, implementing ERP systems, developing financial statements and providing interim accounting support. Furthermore, Lewis has participated in various ad-hoc analyses in support of clients.
