Kim H. Roeder is a partner in King & Spalding’s Healthcare Practice Group. Her practice focuses on representation of healthcare providers, including hospital systems, academic medical centers, physician practice groups and suppliers. Ms. Roeder has assisted providers and suppliers in implementing compliance programs, as well as conducting compliance assessments and internal investigations. She has also represented healthcare providers in responding to Department of Justice and Office of Inspector General investigations and qui tam actions. Ms. Roeder has advised healthcare providers in complex transactions involving acquisitions, dispositions, affiliations and joint ventures. She has extensive experience in addressing federal and state regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse, physician self-referral, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, delivery system reform, alternative payment arrangements (including accountable care organizations), and shared savings and incentive payment arrangements. Ms. Roeder is a former President of the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys. She is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Health Care Compliance Association, and the State Bar of Georgia Health Law Section. She holds a top ranking among Georgia Health Care lawyers in the Chambers USA Client Guide, has been recognized for several years as one of the Best Lawyers in America for Health Care Law and as a Georgia Super Lawyer, and was named an Outstanding Healthcare Fraud and Compliance Lawyer in Nightingale’s Healthcare News. Ms. Roeder has spoken frequently at professional and trade group programs. Recent presentations and publications have addressed have addressed Affordable Care Act delivery system reforms, accountable care organizations, shared savings and quality incentive programs, hospital-physician alignment strategies, and referral law compliance and self-disclosure.
