As the President of Prestige Economics, Bloomberg News has ranked Mr. Schenker the #1 forecaster in the world in 26 categories since 2011, including oil prices, industrial metals prices, natural gas prices, gold prices, the euro, the British pound, and U.S. jobs.
As Chairman of The Futurist Institute, Mr. Schenker trains analysts, consultants, executives, and other leaders to Become a Futurist®. The Futurist Institute offers courses in six learning tracks for the FLTA® professional designation, including a tax and accounting professional track. Mr. Schenker has also created 20 LinkedIn Learning courses focused on audit, risk management, finance, economics, and leadership.
Mr. Schenker is Chairman of the Climate Change Advisory Panel at Sasol (NYSE: SSL), the large public fuels and chemicals company headquartered in South Africa. This is an independent advisory board focused on supporting Sasol's sustainability and emissions reduction commitments.
One of Mr. Schenker's top nonprofit activities is to serve on the Executive Committee of the non-partisan Texas Business Leadership Council (TBLC), the Texas affiliate of the Business Roundtable that advises elected officials of both parties at the state and federal levels. He is also a member of the Bretton Woods Committee and its Digital Finance Project Team and Climate Finance Project Team.
Before founding Prestige Economics in 2009, Mr. Schenker was a Risk Specialist at McKinsey and Chief Energy and Commodity Economist at Wachovia (Wells Fargo). He holds master's degrees in applied economics, negotiation, and German. Mr. Schenker is also a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
