Mastering Fiduciary Prudence and Due Diligence

This session will provide practical tools, tips and checklists for the plan fiduciary to use to manage fiduciary risk. Packed with case study experience, this presentation will discuss areas of due diligence such as the hiring process, contractual points of interest, monitoring and documentation for plan prudence needed to maintain a plan that complies with the requirements of ERISA and case law.

  • How to hire the ideal service providers: What ERISA requires, what you should require and consider during this process for all service providers to the plan.
  • Do you need an Investment Committee? When to use a Charter, or Investment Policy Statement or Designated Responsible Plan Fiduciary?
