The Form 990 continues to be the most publicly available document most non-profits produce every year.

This session will combine:
  • Overview of the Form 990 and supporting scheuldes.
  • An update of new developments for 2011 such as the new K-1 reporting requirments,
  • Discuss ongoing reporting challenges including related organizations, compensation reporting and when one organization is an "interested person" of another organization for Schedule L purposes.
  • Old struggles including, obtaining information from clients and when does GAAP apply for tax reporting and when does it not apply and how far do tax practioners need to go to get the correct tax information.
