Executive Vice President, Marketing & Business Development
Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia

Vinetta Peek is the executive vice president, marketing & business development for CPABC. Vinetta’s portfolio includes responsibility for the recruitment of new students and candidates to the CPA program in BC, as well as the marketing, branding and business development of CPA. In addition, she plays several key roles in shaping and fostering the growth of the CPA brand, including serving on the CPA National Magazine Advisory Board, developing the Brand Ambassador campaign, and serving on the CPA Brand Steering Committee.

In March 2012, Vinetta Peek was named president and CEO of CMABC. Vinetta joined Certified Management Accountants, Canada – British Columbia (CMA BC) in 2003 as vice president of marketing, and later took on the role of vice president of marketing and education in 2008. Her expertise in marketing has served the CPA profession well; Vinetta sits on several branding and marketing committees and plays a leadership role in developing the CPA brand across Canada.

In 2007, Vinetta became the sixth British Columbian to receive an Honorable CMA designation—a special acknowledgement granted to an individual whose efforts have substantially enhanced the reputation of the CMA Society or the accounting profession, or who has made a significant contribution of new knowledge to the accounting profession or business management. In 2011, Vinetta earned her CMA designation, becoming the first person in Canada’s history to have received an honorary CMA and then complete the CMA program.

And in 2014 CMA Canada honoured her with the FCMA designation, the highest award a CMA can achieve. It acknowledges significant contributions made to CMA Canada, the profession, and the community at large.

Prior to joining CMABC, Vinetta was president of In-Motion Media Corporation, vice president of The Mark Anthony Group, and executive vice president of BBDO New York/McKim Advertising.

Active in her community, Vinetta mentors through the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, fundraises extensively for BC’s Harmony House Centre for Autism Research and Education Society, and is a member of the Women’s Executive Network, FEI, and Vancouver Board of Trade.
