Mr. VunCannon currently serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Secretary and Treasurer of HomeTrust Bank and HomeTrust Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: HTBI), headquartered in Asheville, NC. After beginning his career at KPMG in Charlotte, NC, Mr. VunCannon joined HomeTrust Bank in 1992 as Controller and was promoted to Treasurer in 1997 and to Chief Financial Officer in 2006. During his tenure, HomeTrust has grown from a $250 million mutual thrift with 75 employees and seven locations in Western North Carolina to a $4.7 billion commercial bank with 560 employees and over 30 locations across five southeastern states. This expansion has included twelve acquisitions and a mutual-to-stock conversion in 2012. Mr. VunCannon holds a BS degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
