Tom Burtner

Tom is a consulting services partner with the Technology & Management Consulting group for McGladrey. He specializes in providing technology strategy, system selection, packaged software implementation, application development, business intelligence implementation, systems integration and technology project management services to clients throughout McGladrey. In his role, Tom is responsible for directing the strategy, vision and client service delivery of the Business Applications practice in the Southeast. Tom has more than 20 years of accounting and consulting experience, serving a wide range of entities, from not-for-profit organizations to Fortune 100 companies. Tom began his career with Coopers & Lybrand as a staff accountant. After receiving a Masters degree in Management of Information Technology, he combined his accounting background with systems expertise. Since then, Tom has helped many clients implement new business systems by providing system design, data conversion, training, report development and customizations. Tom is also focused on exploring client business processes and procedures, assisting in identifying their needs and designing systems to meet those needs.
