Due to the desire of Todd and his wife, Dianne, to raise their children with the frequent interaction of family, they moved from Denver to South Carolina in 1992 where Todd joined the CPA firm of Elliott Davis, LLC. He was given the opportunity to create a management consulting practice for the firm and subsequently was elected shareholder. Todd was elected to the firm’s Executive Committee as Elliott Davis grew into a regional presence and was elected Chairman in 2003. He championed a Women in Leadership initiative that resulted in positive changes to firm culture, increased success of recruiting, retaining, developing and promoting women, and improved financial returns and shareholder value.
When he retired from Elliott Davis, LLC in 2011, Todd founded CEO Solutions, LLC to assist clients with financial and management challenges and to invest in client equity opportunities. Todd’s primary emphasis is advising top executives in areas of business opportunity, including business advisory services (financial operation turnarounds and improvement, debt restructuring, financial forecasting, and transaction valuations), mergers and acquisitions (focusing on analysis of transaction projected results, transaction structuring, negotiation assistance, and business plan refinement), and strategic planning facilitation. As part of his client activities, he recently was named the managing director of a national engineering firm.
Todd sits on several private company Boards and the Editorial Advisory Board for CPA Practice Management Forum. He has been actively involved in many civic and community activities. Todd has been a frequent speaker at national and regional events on professional service firm issues such as the business case for increased participation by women in leadership positions and change management.
