Tim LaSpaluto, CPA, CGMA, CITP is the Vice President of Finance - Association & Public Accounting. In this role he is responsible for the oversight of the AICPA’s financial operations, reporting, and planning and analysis, as well as facilities operations. LaSpaluto plays a key role in the design and implementation of the AICPA’s budgeting and forecasting processes as well as the execution of its strategic plan. He provides valuable insight and business decision support to key stakeholders within the Association, practices which are aligned with the CGMA designation offered by the AICPA and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) through the Association.
In addition, LaSpaluto serves as the staff liaison to the AICPA’s Finance and Investment Committees and participates in other volunteer committees throughout the AICPA.
LaSpaluto joined the AICPA in 2006, and was
instrumental in the successful relocation of the financial operations from
Jersey City to Durham. Since the relocation, he has elevated the finance team
both from a finance operations and reporting and analysis perspective.
Prior to joining the AICPA, LaSpaluto worked at PwC as Sr. Manager in the
assurance practice focusing on a client base ranging from publicly traded,
international and privately owned companies.
He holds a BS and a Masters in Accounting from North Carolina State University.
