"TJ Regan is currently serving as an Investigative Computer Specialist (ICS) for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) within the Directorate of Operational Technology and Cyber Innovation, out of Denver, CO. He is responsible for providing cryptocurrency and dark web support to the NCIS global enterprise which can include conducting cryptocurrency tracing, re-evaluating NCIS' cryptocurrency policy and providing training to the NCIS enterprise on cryptocurrency and dark web investigations. Along with providing cryptocurrency support to NCIS, he also supports the National Intelligence University (NIU) as a reader for papers dealing with cryptocurrency/blockchain and he is also assisting the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) with creating two cryptocurrency training programs. Prior to his appointment as an ICS, Mr. Regan served as an Intelligence Specialist for NCIS, from 2019 - 2023, and for the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) within the Department of the Air Force on the Cyber desk, from 2017 - 2019, with a focus on cryptocurrency and dark web. His background also includes experience conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests for the Intelligence Community as a defense contractor.
Mr. Regan holds cybersecurity certifications such as the Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (C|HFI), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cryptocurrency Forensic Investigator (CCFI), Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator (CCI), GIAC Open Source Intelligence (GOSI), GIAC Advanced Smartphone Forensics (GASF) and the Certified Cyber Crime Investigator (3CI)."
