With more than 20 years’ experience, Ted has provided communications and management counsel and program implementation for organizations in a range of industries, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, media, technology, transportation/logistics, as well as the public sector.
He is a Founder and Partner of BravaComm, a communications management consultancy he established in 2010. Operating from Toronto and the Cayman Islands, BravaComm focuses on helping organizations achieve maximum value for their investments in communications strategy.
Ted leads BravaComm’s research and strategy development work for Canadian and international clients including BMO Financial Group, Janssen, the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, and the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI).
Ted is also a Certified Applications Professional, licensed by Decision Partners in Mental Modeling Technology™ – a science-based management process for developing validated behaviour-change programs in the areas of policy, strategy and communications – and leads BravaComm’s work in this area.
Prior to establishing his communications consulting practice in 2010, Ted was Director of the Public Relations Unit in the Ministry of Finance of the Cayman Islands Government.
Before joining the Cayman Islands civil service, Ted spent close to 10 years in the corporate and public affairs practice of Edelman, the leading independent PR firm, based in the Toronto office. While there, he focused on strategic planning, reputation management and crisis/issue management.
Ted holds a Bachelor of Public Relations degree from Mount Saint Vincent University in Nova Scotia. He is accredited with the Canadian Public Relations Society (APR) and is active in CPRS’ Accreditation Program.
