Tamara is the Regional Industry Lead Partner for the Mid-Atlantic Region and the Assurance Lead Partner for the Metro DC Market. Tamara has more than 23 years of experience in public practice and private sector. Much of her experience is focused on audits for not-for-profit organizations, specifically professional membership associations, 501(c)(3) and religious organizations, private foundations, private operating foundations, social welfare organizations, labor unions and audits of employee benefit plans.

Tamara has significant experience with compliance work in accordance with 2 CFR 200 (formerly OMB Circular A-133) and assists for-profit and non-profit clients with financial statement audits for various federal agencies and provides consulting services in areas such as cost allowability and allocability, indirect rate cost analysis, and developing internal control and financial reporting best practices.

Tamara has assisted clients in implementing complex accounting standards in areas such as purchase accounting and ASU 2018-08 contribution accounting. Tamara has consulted with entities in developing internal control and financial reporting best practices. Tamara is actively involved with the GWSCPA, VSCPA, AICPA and the IRS TE/GE Organizations Council and regularly speaks on a variety of topics such as leases, Paycheck Protection Program, unrelated business income, indirect costs, lobbying, excess compensation and intermediate sanctions.

She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. Tamara is the Audit Committee Chair and Board of Governance member for Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital, and the Board Chair for MVLE, Inc.
