Susan G. Marshall Executive Director, Council of Inspectors General on Financial Oversight Office of Inspector General, Department of Treasury
Susan Marshall is the Executive Director, Council of Inspectors General on Financial Oversight (CIGFO). She is responsible for managing all CIGFO member activities including CIGFO audits and the CIGFO annual report. Reporting to the CIGFO Chair, which is the Treasury Department Inspector General, Susan works with federal agency auditors, Capitol Hill staff, and other stakeholders on financial agency oversight. Marshall has extensive experience in both the private and public sector having served in various positions at federal regulatory agencies as well as in the House and Senate as a professional staffer. While working for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Susan was one of the key authors of federal procurement reform legislation- the Clinger-Cohen Act.
Susan also has extensive private-sector experience having worked for the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA), Federal Sources Inc., and the Aerospace Industries Association of America, Inc.
Ms. Marshall attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. Prior to 1986, she attended the University of Exeter in Exeter, England, concentrating on Political Studies.
She currently resides in Alexandria, Va.
