Susan Insley

Susan is a high tech executive with more than 20 years of experience in risk management, finance and talent development. As Vice President of Internal Audit at VMware, she is a strategic business partner to the executive team in providing risk management assessments that enable better, faster decision-making in a dynamic market environment. Susan is passionate about building sustainable programs, practices and capabilities that create new possibilities for profitable growth. Prior to joining VMware, she founded the Internal Audit and Ethics and Compliance program at Verisign. From 1991 to 2006, she held a number of Internal Audit and Operational Finance leadership roles at Intel Corporation including international audit, investigations and ethics. She sits on the Board of Governors of the Institute of Internal Auditors San Jose chapter, is a Certified Internal Auditor and holds a Certification in Risk Management Assurance.
