Sibi Thomas CPA, CFE, CGMA

Sibi Thomas, CPA, CFE, CGMA is a Partner within the Nonprofit, Government & Healthcare Group at Marks Paneth LLP, with extensive accounting, auditing, tax and consulting experience. He is a member of AICPA's Not-for-Profit Expert Panel that serves the needs of AICPA members on financial and business reporting and audit and attest matters in the not-for-profit sector.

Mr. Thomas was recognized by the CPA Practice Advisor as a 40 under 40 honoree for leading the accounting profession. Mr. Thomas completed the Data Analytics program from Cornell University and leads the DATA Team at Marks Paneth. Mr. Thomas is a member of the Firm's Partner Leadership Committee and a member of the Campus Recruiting Committee. Mr. Thomas is actively involved in the recruitment, development and mentoring of the next generation of leaders. He is also a mentor for the NYSSCPA mentorship program. 

Mr. Thomas has deepened his expertise as an adjunct faculty of not-for-profit accounting at New York University (NYU). Mr. Thomas has authored several articles for the New York Nonprofit Review and Accounting Today that focused on helping nonprofit organizations evaluate their existing governance and financial reporting process. Mr. Thomas is also a national speaker at AICPA Not-for-Profit Conference and various other conferences and seminars.
