Shenita Hicks
Director, Examination, IRS
Ms. Hicks is currently the Director, Examination, Small Business/Self Employed Division (SB/SE), leading over 9000 employees throughout the country in seven field areas as well as five headquarter operations. She was selected for this assignment in June, 2011. Her previous assignment was as Director, SB/SE Exam Central Area, headquartered in Philadelphia, PA., where she served since October 2008. Prior to that position, Shenita was the Director, Campus Compliance Operations, SB/SE, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was responsible for providing leadership in a wide range of Campus operations. Shenita also currently serves as Chair of the Greater Cincinnati Federal Executive Board.
Ms. Hicks began her career with the Internal Revenue Service in 1981 as a Revenue Agent Co-op in the former Phoenix District. She examined a variety of returns until she entered management in 1987. She held various management positions of increasing responsibility. Before being selected as the Campus Director, she was the Chief, Examination Division, Ohio District, and the Territory Manager for the Cincinnati Territory.
Ms. Hicks is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
