Sharon Poach is Senior Vice President of Finance at Navy Federal Credit Union, the world’s largest credit union with over 14 million members and $190 billion in assets. A visionary leader with more than 30 years of experience, Sharon leads a 200+ person accounting organization across four locations, driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration.
Her career spans public and private sectors, beginning with global finance and compliance leadership for USAID public health initiatives, followed by audit and advisory roles at PwC and Grant Thornton. Sharon’s passion for accounting led her to earn her CPA and build high-performing teams known for integrity, innovation, and service. She is a recipient of Navy Federal’s President’s Award for Leadership Excellence and Grant Thornton’s Client Service Award.
Sharon is a licensed CPA and active member of the AICPA and VSCPA. She serves on the AICPA Depository Institutions Expert Panel, is a Board Member of The Women’s Center, and sits on George Mason University’s Women in Business Board. She also volunteers with Mary's Comfort and Yuma, reflecting her commitment to community, mentorship, and the empowerment of underprivileged members of our community.
