Scott Winters

Scott Winters is a Director and research analyst in the Active Equities division at BlackRock. He is responsible for fundamental research coverage of large cap US equities, with a focus on the Industrials sector. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2013, Mr. Winters was an analyst at Oppenheimer Capital and Ariel Investments covering a mix of industries and sectors. In a previous life, Mr. Winters was a process engineer at Lyondell Chemical Company, and also managed a data analytics team at Telephia, a market research company that was ultimately acquired by Nielsen. Mr. Winters earned BS degrees in Economics and Chemical Engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 and an MBA, with honors, from Columbia Business School in 2005. He is also a CFA charterholder.
