Samantha Bowling, CPA, CGMA, is the Managing Partner at GWCPA in Maryland, where she has been a driving force since joining the firm in 1993 and becoming partner in 2005. A recognized pioneer in accounting innovation, Samantha led GWCPA’s successful firm-wide integration of artificial intelligence, transforming client services, internal operations, and team development.
In 2018, she received the CPA.com Innovative Practitioner of the Year Award for her groundbreaking use of AI in audit. She has been honored as one of the Most Powerful Women in Accounting by the AICPA and CPA Practice Advisor in both 2019 and 2024, and was named a Top 50 Woman in Accounting in 2024.
Samantha served as Chair of the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA) from 2018–2019, and most recently chaired the AICPA Auditing Standards Board (ASB) Technology Task Force from 2021–2024, helping shape the future of audit standards in a tech-forward world.
