Robin Thieme is Founder, CEO and CAO (Chief Anticipation Officer) of KBS CFO, LLC. With over 30 years of financial and accounting experience, Robin has a passion for the efficiencies that new technologies enable and a dedication to growing businesses. 

Along with the KBS Team, they provide strategic guidance and system-based solutions to entrepreneurs. Long before "cloud computing" was a mainstream term, Robin built KBS as a virtual organization. She takes this same thoughtful approach to establishing efficiencies and solutions that fit the current business environment for her clients. 

While her education, skills, and background are centered on finance, accounting, and technology, Robin and the KBS Team are proud to be innovative and solution oriented for their clients. KBS CFO provides CFO, Controller, and the full spectrum of accounting department solutions and has developed niches with organizations that have more complex accounting needs.

Recent certifications include Certified Sage Intacct Accounting Partner Provider, and has developed proficiency in many accounting system(s) including Orchestrated Spirits, Unanet, Sage Intacct and Intuit QuickBooks. 

Robin is an active member of the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA) and a periodic speaker on accounting technology trends and tools. Her expertise, coupled with decades of first-hand knowledge about the unique challenges faced by growing businesses, enables her to serve as your trusted strategic advisor. 

Robin is a AICPA instructor, author and subject matter expert with respect to Virtual work places and the Virtual CFOs within the AICPA community.

Outside of the professional world, Robin resides in Kensington, Maryland with her husband. When time allows she enjoys all types of outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, and golf. She also breaks up her work week by periodically attending improvisation classes and embracing "Yes, And" in work and life, in general.
