Robert Wadley

Robert is a partner in Ernst & Young’s (EY) National Accounting Professional Practice Group in New York.
He serves as the firm’s subject matter expert on the accounting (both US GAAP and IFRS) for loans, debt and equity securities and interest income matters on the firm’s financial instruments accounting team. In this role, Robert routinely consults with engagement teams on complex accounting matters related to financial instruments. He frequently interacts with staff at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the Securities and Exchange Commission Robert also develops EY’s interpretive guidance and designs and presents technical training for internal and external audiences. Robert leads EY’s efforts on standard setting by the FASB and the International Accounting Standards Board on financial instruments (i.e., classification and measurement and impairment or loan loss) and is the primary author of EY’s publications on these topics. Robert received a Master in Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He is a licensed certified public accountant in New York, Texas and Utah and is a member of both the AICPA and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.
