Robert B. Sledge is a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is a member of the Accounting Group, and his responsibilities include consulting with registrants on accounting and reporting matters, monitoring the activities of U.S. and international accounting standard-setters, and supporting the SEC’s rulemaking activities.
Mr. Sledge joined the SEC in July 2016. Previously, he worked at KPMG LLP in New York City, London, and Chicago and at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. He holds Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Accounting degrees from The Ohio State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York, Illinois and Ohio and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
