Robert Macdonald is the Managing Director of MRM Consulting. Since 1977, Bob has lead financial aspects of commercial loss of profit claims, complex arbitration cases involving long term supply contracts and corporate acquisitions, special committee investigations, white-collar crime investigations, regulatory proceedings, and tracing of domestic and international funds. Bobs expertise includes managing the related e- discovery and computer forensic aspects of these engagements. Bob was recognized in the Lexpert/American Lawyer 2009, 2010 and 2011 guides as one of Canadas top 25 Expert Witnesses and has testified extensively within Canada and, on occasion, in the US and internationally. His clients are drawn from private sector corporations including financial institutions, the real estate industry, mortgage financing, construction, mining, and manufacturing industries and the public sector including all levels of government, regulatory and law enforcement agencies. Bobs casework extends throughout North America and overseas. Specific government inquiry experience includes: Being retained by the Honourable Mr. Justice John H. Gomery of the Superior Court of Quebec, Commissioner of the Canadian Governments Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities, to provide forensic accounting, investigative and expert witness services to the Commission. Being retained by the Honourable Mr. Justice Jeffrey Oliphant, Associate Chief Justice, Manitoba Court of Queens Bench, Commissioner of Canadian Government Inquiry into the dealings between Brian Mulroney, former Prime Minister of Canada and Karlheinz Schreiber to provide forensic accounting and investigative services to the Commission.
