Robert Harris

Robert began practicing public accounting in 1975. He was the Managing Director of Harris, Cotherman,Jones, Price & Associates and its predecessor for 28 years when the firm joined Rehmann in 2012. Robert provides audit, tax, and business planning for corporations and high-income individuals, as well as corporate strategic and organizational planning. He provides consulting to a broad range of clients with a particular emphasis on the transportation industry, medical professional organizations, and real estate development.

Robert devotes time and experience to the public accounting field. He was the Chairman of the AICPA for 2009-10 and has held numerous committee appointments within the organization. He is a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Governance and Audit Committee of the International Federation of Accountants. He was also President of the FICPA during 1990-1991. In September 2009,Robert was recognized as one of the top 100 most influential people in accounting, as published in Accounting Today. The CPA Technology Advisor recognized him in 2011 as a Top Thought Leader in Public Accounting Technology, and the Michigan Association of CPAs recognized him in 2010 with their Outstanding Visionary Award.
