Robert Goldenkoff has over 20 years of program evaluation experience with the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Currently he is a director on GAO’s Strategic Issues team where he is responsible for reviewing the cost-effectiveness of federal statistical programs and modernizing federal personnel management. Prior research areas have included transportation security and combating human trafficking. He is the co-author of Federal Jobs: The Ultimate Guide (Arco), and his articles on management, science policy, and other subjects have been published in Technology Review, Government Executive, Policy Studies Journal, and Public Administration Review. He also contributed a chapter on using focus group research to the Handbook of Practical Program Evaluation (Jossey-Bass). He received his B.A. (political science) and MPA degrees from the George Washington University, and was a Presidential Management Fellow.
