Rick Day

Rick has over 35 years of experience in audit and accounting and is currently the firm’s National Director of Accounting. His duties include overall responsibility for the firm’s accounting guidance, oversight of the firm’s accounting consultation process, monitoring the activities of the various standard-setting bodies, training on all accounting topics, and leadership of the firm’s National Accounting Standards Group and Regional Professional Practice Offices. Rick is also currently a member of the Financial Reporting Executive Committee (FinREC), which is the AICPA’s senior technical committee that provides guidance on financial reporting matters, and was recently appointed by FASB to the newly restructured Small Business Advisory Committee (SBAC). In its new format, the SBAC will serve as a standing resource for the FASB in obtaining input from smaller public reporting companies on existing guidance, current and proposed technical agenda projects, and longer-term issues affecting those organizations.
