Rayna Gokli The Honorable
District Court Judge (Ret), State of Colorado (Ret)/ Torrington and Gokli
The Honorable Judge Rayna Gokli was appointed as a District Court Judge in the 17th
Judicial District in May of 2019. During her time on the bench, Judge Gokli presided
over a civil, criminal, and domestic relations docket. Judge Gokli retired from the
Judicial Department in June of 2025.
Beginning in August 2025, Judge Gokli opened an alternate dispute resolution practice, Torrington and Gokli, with The Honorable Jennifer Torrington.
Judge Gokli has presented on issues related to domestic law and practice at the Family
Law Institute, Colorado Bar Association Ethics Update, Colorado Judicial Conference,
New Judge Orientation, LLP Practicum, and the Domestic Relations and Probate
Institute. Judge Gokli has also completed the 40-Hour Mediation Course through the
Colorado Bar Association.
Judge Gokli is currently a member of the Colorado Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals
(“LLP”) Oversight Committee, a committee which was tasked with creating a program
for non-lawyers to practice in domestic relations dockets in a limited capacity to help
bridge the access to justice gap. Judge Gokli has served as secretary of the South Asian
Bar Association of Colorado and as Board Chair for the Center for Legal Inclusiveness.
Judge Gokli was honored to receive the 2014 Governor Ralph Carr Award from the Asian
Pacific American Bar Association. Each year, this award is given to an attorney who has
exhibited a commitment to public service through public sector work or a substantial
commitment to community service.
Prior to being appointed to the bench, Judge Gokli was a Senior Lead Deputy District
Attorney in the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. She also previously worked as a
prosecutor in rural southern Colorado.
