Ray Fossett is a tax partner in Ernst & Young’s Tulsa, Oklahoma office. Ray has over 20 years of experience in public accounting. Ray’s practice is primarily focused on serving public and large private partnership clients in the energy sector. In that practice, Ray has assisted his clients with a wide variety of matters, including planning for initial and follow-on public unit offerings, analysis of and planning for the implications of provisions related to “disguised sales” of property and partnership interests, quantitative “tax shield” modeling including addressing complex “forward” and “reverse” allocations under I.R.C. §704(c), planning to optimize the impact of §704(c) allocations on all partner groups, analysis of complex allocations of liabilities among partners under I.R.C. §752, and a variety of other related matters.
Ray received a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.
Ray is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs.
