Odun began his journey with Navy Federal Credit Union in 2018 as the Assistant Vice President of General Accounting. In his current capacity, Odun oversees the Technical Accounting function at Navy Federal, where he plays a vital role in offering guidance on intricate accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and risk management.
Prior to joining Navy Federal Credit Union, Odun worked at USAA where he was responsible for USAA's accounting, consolidation and reporting for all business lines and shared services. Prior to USAA, Odun worked for Prudential serving in various finance leadership roles including expatriate assignment and working on projects in various countries.
Odun has extensive experience leading operational and accounting functions through significant transformation and growth both in the U.S and abroad. He is passionate about developing talent and considered a talent ambassador. Odun is a graduate of Leadership Pensacola (Leap), a Pensacola Chamber Foundation program that is dedicated to cultivating community-oriented leaders. Additionally, he serves as a board member for the Non-Profit Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida.
Odun holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rutgers University and an Executive MBA from the University of Texas San Antonio. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of New York.
