Nick Ross, PhD, is Dr. Data at Sega, where he leads the company's mobile app analytics team. In his work he applies statistics to consumer behavior, and enjoys using numbers to describe, interpret and predict people's actions. Before Sega, he was Director of User Acquisition and Analytics at TinyCo, an Andreessen Horowitz-backed gaming start-up. In a prior life, Nick provided statistical and financial solutions to lawyers as a consultant at Bates White, an economic consulting firm. His PhD, earned at UCLA's Anderson School of Business, included research in economics, finance and accounting. Nick is also an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco, where he teaches classes in accounting, analytics and big data management.
