Natalie has more than 14 years of public accounting experience during which time she has specialized in corporate tax issues. As a member of the Washington National Tax Accounting Methods & Periods group, Natalie researches and analyzes a variety of tax technical issues in the accounting methods and periods functional area (e.g., income recognition, expense recognition, inventory methods, depreciation methods, changes in methods of accounting, and accounting periods). Natalie also consults with internal firm tax personnel, external client personnel, and alliance firm members addressing corporate tax technical issues, including identification of tax planning ideas and structuring alternatives, in response to Washington National Tax inquiries.
Natalie’s experience also includes drafting technical arguments used to address the Internal Revenue Service National Office’s position on various issues, drafting internal guidance regarding implications of recent tax guidance issued, working on the development of and updates to XTS Packages, and drafting comment letters to the IRS and Treasury Department on proposed guidance.
