Michelle Drew Rodriguez

Michelle Drew Rodriguez leads many of Deloitte’s Manufacturing Competitiveness research efforts as part of her role as the Manufacturing Leader for Deloitte’s Center for Industry Insights. She is an accomplished professional with nearly twenty years of strategic and operational experience, having worked directly in the automotive industry as well as currently serving as an advisor to global manufacturing executives. She and her team have worked on a number of efforts that explore the future trends impacting the manufacturing industry, including the changing nature of consumer expectations and the future of mobility. She has recently authored multiple research studies on the topic of manufacturing competitiveness which have explored strategies for driving growth and high value job creation through manufacturing industry sectors, as well as helped facilitate constructive dialogue and collaboration between business leaders and public policy-makers regarding manufacturing competitiveness, the role of government, and the path to prosperity for countries as well as companies. As part of the manufacturing competitiveness research efforts, she is also driving Deloitte’s joint research with the Council on Competitiveness to identify both critical drivers of competitiveness for nations and companies and the ranking of countries based on hundreds of manufacturing CEOs from around the world. Michelle has worked with the World Economic Forum; on multiple year-long manufacturing research reports such as The Future of Manufacturing and Manufacturing for Growth projects. She has a MBA from the University of Michigan (Ross School of Business) and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
