Michael Speer
Mr. Speer began assisting clients with their recovery from catastrophic disasters over 30 years ago. He specializes in the calculation of damages, business interruption claims, FEMA Public Assistance grants, litigation support and general forensic accounting. In addition to government he’s worked with clients in many other industries, including hospitality, food and beverage, retail, higher education, not-for-profit, manufacturing, distribution, telecommunications, real estate, and others. Mr. Speer’s engagements during recent years have included losses caused by Hurricane Sandy, the Colorado Wildfires, and wide-spread flooding in Nashville, Iowa and Minnesota. He’s also handled losses caused by fire, explosion, tornados, hail storms, malicious computer events, and product recall. Additionally, he serves as Director on a team of more than 50 auditors completing grant compliance audits throughout the State of Texas related to FEMA Public Assistance grants.
