Michael OConnor was a Co-Founder of WIND Mobile. The operation launched in 2009 across the major urban centers in the country and now boasts more than 750,000 subscribers. WIND Mobile has invested more than one and a half billion dollars to date and has 1000 employees across the country. Prior to WIND Mobile Mr. OConnor was a founding Executive of Orascom Telecom. Mr. OConnor led business development efforts and M&A activities on behalf of the company throughout Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Between 1998 and 2011, the company grew from 250,000 subscribers to more than 125 million. Mr. OConnor has extensive operational, corporate finance, business development and corporate governance experience.
