Mr. McConnell is Managing Director at U.S. Capital Advisors focusing on raising private capital for energy companies as well as assisting company owners in managing their financial wealth. Mr. McConnell was previously with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in Houston. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. McConnell co-founded a long/short hedge fund, Spring Street Partners, where he served as co-portfolio manager for seven years. His day-to-day activities include engaging with energy company owners to provide capital solutions as well as growing and preserving wealth accumulated by his clients. Mr. McConnell has advised, partnered and managed money for institutional investors, family offices and individual investors for sixteen years. Since joining US Capital Advisors in 2011, Mr. McConnell has been instrumental in a number of merchant banking activities including advising and negotiating funding for LL&B Minerals LLC and USCAs participation in arranging the private placement of securities for Badger Midstream Energy, LP. Mr. McConnell previously served on the Board of Gulf Atlantic Refining and Marketing. He currently serves on the Board of Badger Midstream Energy, L.P.
Mr. McConnell graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Management.
