Michael Husich is a Senior Associate Chief Accountant in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of the Chief Accountant. He joined the Commission in 2003. Mr. Husich primarily provides assistance and interpretive guidance to issuers and registered public accounting firms on matters pertaining to auditor independence.
Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Husich worked for a large financial institution located in the mid-Atlantic region. He worked in several roles, including Director of Financial Accounting and Reporting, as well as Audit Director.
Mr. Husich received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware and his Master of Science with a concentration in Finance from the University of Baltimore.
