Michael Colavito JD

Michael Colavito is a senior manager in the state and local tax practice of Aronson LLC. Michael assists clients with a broad range of state and local tax issues. His expertise extends to many areas of multi-state taxation, including income, franchise, sales and use, and property taxes. Michael's experience also includes representing clients at all stages of tax controversy—from audit through appellate litigation as well as advising clients on restructurings and state tax refund and planning opportunities. Prior to joining Aronson, Michael served in the state and local tax groups of Big Four accounting firm and national law firm. Michael received his bachelor's degree in political science from Bridgewater College and earned a juris doctorate degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, NJ. He is a member of the Bar in New Jersey and the District of Columbia, and he serves as a member of the MACPA State Tax Committee.
