Meredith C. Slawe is a partner in Drinker Biddle & Reath’s Litigation Group and a member of the firm’s Class Actions Team. Meredith is a highly accomplished attorney who focuses on the defense of purported class actions and complex commercial litigation matters in courts across the country. She has extensive experience representing companies in a range of actions, including matters related to cutting-edge technology and privacy issues. Meredith is counsel to some of the world’s leading and most recognized companies and is widely regarded as a rising star in the class action defense bar. A trusted, confident and effective litigator, Meredith works tirelessly to ensure that her clients receive unparalleled service in their most challenging cases and against the most skilled adversaries. She has an outstanding record, disposing of cases early through aggressive case strategy, defeating cases on the merits, compelling individual arbitration, and successfully challenging class certification. In addition to defending her clients in high stakes litigation, Meredith also counsels them on compliance issues in light of the evolving regulatory landscape. Meredith also is skilled at conducting sensitive internal investigations. Meredith is a thought leader in the defense of proposed class actions brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. She is a key member of the firm’s TCPA Team and is a force behind the defense of numerous TCPA actions, including cases related to calls, text messages and faxes. Meredith is regularly asked to speak and publish on TCPA-related topics and she is a frequent contributor to the firm’s blog (tcpablog.com). She has profound knowledge of the nuances of the statute and has been the architect of winning strategies in TCPA cases. Meredith performs TCPA compliance audits for businesses in conjunction with members of the firm’s Government and Regulatory Affairs Group. Meredith graduated from Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
