Matthew Schell is the managing partner of national office within the firm risk management group at Crowe. In this role, he is responsible for leading the firm's professional practice groups - including accounting standards, assurance standards, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulatory, bank regulatory, and legislative teams, all of which maintain responsibility for resolution of consultations and development of firm perspectives on professional practice matters. Earlier in his career, he served as a professional accounting fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant (OCA) of the SEC and prior to that worked for Crowe in audit practice.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. He is a CFA® charterholder and is a certified public accountant, licensed in the District of Columbia and New York. Matthew is a member of the AICPA and the Greater Washington Society of CPAs.
